The war of Gog in Ezekiel 38 and 39 is not the same war as the rebellion of Gog in Revelation the 20th chapter.
The Ezekiel war is ended by an earthquake from
God.
The rebellion of Gog in Revelation the 20th chapter
ends when GOD sends His fire on the rebels.
Revelation 20:9
...and devoured them.
The war described in Ezekiel 38 and 39 decimates the russian leader ( gog )
and the islamic confederacy -
the rebellion of Revelation 20 devours the nations who follow russia in
the final battle against Jerusalem. The rebellion involves nations from all over
the earth. The war of Ezekiel 38 and 39 includes a few specifically
named countries surrounding Israel.
Ezekiel 39:2
And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will
cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the
mountains of Israel:
Some commentators feel that the invasion of Israel described in Ezekiel includes a nuclear exchange.
The invasion and decimation of gog detailed in Ezekiel happens near the time the
antichrist begins his seven year reign of deception and terror. With russia and the islamic
crescent crazies no longer a player in world politics - the antichrist is able to make a deal with
the Jews which allows them to rebuild their temple.
The mosques are no longer centers for mullah murderers.
If modern persia ( Iran ) has their way - the invasion of Israel will include nukes.
